Inprotek Innovations

Used Lubrication Oil (Sump) Oil Recycling

The Inprotek system of sump oil recycling removes suspended carbon particles (soot) and dissolved metals within the oil to produce an oil that is prepared for the next stage of hydro-treating (to recycle the oil back to base oil) or can be immediately sold as a high grade marine fuel oil (meeting IFO 180 standards). Other advantages of the Inprotek sump oil recycling systems are

	Higher yields than other processes
	Higher margins on processing
	Allows Option to sell oil post process into fuel oil market.
	Lower energy consumption
	No chemicals are added to the oil (less disposal costs)
	No bleaching clay to dispose of
	No ultra-fine filters to block up
	Residual metals as low as 3 ppm (excluding sulphur)
	No toxic heat transfer oils

Biodiesel Production Plants

Inprotek have just designed a world first fully continuous supercritical methanol production plant. This is a totally catalyst free production facility that produces a clean glycerol stream. The advantage of using a supercritical methanol system are:

	No catalyst
	Fatty acid composition of feed material is irrelevant (0-100% FFA is acceptable)
	Moisture content of oil is not an issue
	Pure glycerol stream is produced.

The team at Inprotek have designed and built fully functioning biodiesel production facilities ranging in size from 1,000,000 litres/annum to 200,000,000 million litres/annum.

Generally an Inprotek Biodiesel production plant can be delivered anywhere in the world within 6 months at a fraction of the cost of competing technologies.

Static Reactors

Inprotek have developed a static reactor technology that offers the following advantages:

	Absolute first in, first out plug flow
	Amount of turbulence can be designed
	Low pressure drop
	Fully welded or pull apart for internal cleaning.
	Equivalent to hundreds of meters of pipe mixers in a small footprint
